Dining: We do not sell food at Old Alabama Town, other than a few candies and soft drinks available in the gift shop. However, you are welcome to enjoy a picnic in lovely Kiwanis Park, adjacent to the Loeb Reception Center. There are also several delicious eateries in our neighborhood, including the following within walking distance:

  • Farmers Market Cafe: Homestyle breakfast and lunch served cafeteria style, as well as a full menu including salads, sandwiches, burgers and BBQ. Takeout orders welcomed. View weekly menu here. Open Monday-Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (334) 262-9163.
  • Tucker Pecan Co: If you’re hungry for a quick snack, stop in Tucker Pecans for an assortment of Southern sweets and treats, including an ice cream bar. Open Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (334) 262-4470.
  • The Alley is just a 5-10min walk from Old Alabama Town, and features many dining options such as Dreamland BBQ and SaZa

Picnics: Visitors are more than welcome to enjoy a picnic in Kiwanis Park, which is adjacent to the Old Alabama Town Loeb Reception Center. Let your kids enjoy the huge playground after a relaxing picnic lunch. Please be advised there are no picnic tables in the park, only a few benches, so you may want to bring a blanket or folding chairs.

Restrooms and Water Fountains: While our buildings may have been built before the days of indoor plumbing, Old Alabama Town has installed numerous restrooms and water fountains throughout the property for the comfort of our guests.

Attire: To make the most of your trip, we advise that you wear comfortable walking shoes and season-appropriate clothing.
