Each year, Landmarks Foundation hosts tours for more than 30,000 schoolchildren from across the state to visit Old Alabama Town and other historic sites in Montgomery.
In 2026, Alabama changed its state history curriculum. It was taught only in fourth grade, but it will now be taught across third, fourth, and fifth grades. We are now booking tours for all three grades.
With your generous gift we are able to expand our school and bus tours in 2027.

Our Preservation Services department helps developers use historic tax credits to turn historic buildings into spaces with new uses. We are currently overseeing more than ten projects across the state, including a leading role in preserving the Ben Moore Hotel.
With your donation, we hope to spur new development in Centennial Hill and along the High Street corridor

The South Block's grounds are a wonderful setting for outdoor events, with our historic buildings as a backdrop. Just last month, we hosted our 4th Annual Montgomery Oyster Festival, which drew 400 guests.
Your year-end generosity helps us keep our historic building up-to-date and accessible for all Alabamians.

Old Alabama Town has long supported Landmarks’ mission to showcase Alabama's history.
In 2026, we completed much of the renovations to each of our historic structures; we wrote new interpretations, replaced outdoor and directional signage, and installed interactive beacon technology to enhance visitors' experience.
Help us to get ready for another 60 years of preserving, interpreting and sharing Alabama's history.
